Sadi Malot, Bulles de Rose NV
Champagne Sadi Malot was established in 1883 and is now into its 5th generation of Madot family ownership. Their Grand Cru vineyards stretch across 10 hectares of vines - mainly Chardonnay in Villers-Marmery and mainly Pinot Noir in Verzy. The winery gained fully organic status in 2020, believing that caring for the environment as a whole makes much better wine; something we're certainly inclined to agree with! Bulles de Rose NV is made from a blend of (Premier Cru) 84% Chardonnay and 16% Pinot Noir; the latter being cask-matured Coteaux Champenois Rouge (the still red wine made in Champagne). The result is a rich, vibrant rosé champagne, with aromas of stewed red fruit and a lively, lengthy finish. A really unique, gastronomic wine and one which will pair amazingly well with roast pork or duck.
